Natural History Museum’s Darwin Centre

The Darwin Centre is now an iconic landmark in London. Marvel at incredible specimens, exciting displays and interactive activities, engage with scientists at work and much more in the new 8-storey landmark building. A visit will allow you to explore the new centre and glimpse the giant cocoon from all angles. Get up close to the concrete, steel and glass of this amazing architectural achievement. Designed by C F Møller Architects of Denmark, it took around 25 months and 280 people to build.

BAF produced Lambda prints mounted to glass niches throughout the exhibition areas as well as optically clear print applied to glass windows and walls.

Sea Life London Aquarium

April saw the completion of Merlin Entertainments’ multi-million pound transformation of the famous London Aquarium into a new world class aquatic experience, and leading centre of marine conservation for the UK.

The new SEA LIFE London Aquarium is home to thousands of marine creatures from green turtles to six species of shark, spread over three floors and 14 themed zones. BAF produced all the graphics including reverse mounted Lambda panels, sealed floor graphics, Rho 351 printed vinyl mounted to walls and i-cut printed foamex figures, amongst other features.

Walls feature unique textured sections which appear hand painted due to a unique heat application method where vinyl colour sinks into each crevice. Fun hanging signs with shark and fish shapes were produced by Rho printing direct to pearlescent cut acrylic and Di-bond.
